Peter Kutrubes, JD, LLM
Peter was born and raised in the suburbs of Boston and attended College at Tufts University. After working in the banking industry for three years, Peter attended law school and earned an additional degree –a Master’s in taxation-(LLM Tax)- along with his JD.
During law school, Peter developed a passion for taxation, primarily to optimize taxpayers’ financial position in the preparation of tax returns as well as the contesting of certain tax issues against various government entities.
Since early 1995, Peter has prepared tax returns, strategized his clients portfolios and consulted with clients’ over Federal and various state income tax and other tax matters. Peter has also represented taxpayers in front of the Internal Revenue Service and various state agencies and won numerous battles, including battles against the State of Michigan, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, State of California and Internal Revenue Service.
Peter has also prepared estate plans for many clients over the past 29 years. Initially, Peter’s focus was on Estate Tax Ramifications concerning clients’ estate planning needs, but as the Federal Estate Tax became less relevant, Peter continued to focus on custom, comprehensive affordable estate plans for people from all walks of life.
Outside of work, Peter enjoys attending and serving his local church body and reading the Bible with his wife of 34 years. Peter also enjoys the great outdoors with his family and his dogs, especially hiking, fishing and road camping trips to national parks.
